Updesign Townhouses

From the Georgian houses of London to the brownstones of New York City and their contemporary reinterpretations in Amsterdam and Barcelona, the townhouses has proven to be a flexible and enduring urban typology. This book brings together international projects that explore how these homes optimize land use, improve energy efficiency, and enhance natural light through courtyards, skylights, and double-height spaces. It also examines renovation as a strategy to add height and renew architectural language—blending heritage with contemporary design.

A current perspective on a residential model capable of adapting to the demands of today’s city.
