Intervention in heritage and the accessibility project
Buildings designed by architects today are accessible, they must be accessible. They must be bright, stable, sustainable… and then they will be beautiful.
And what to do with this quality, which we consider to be indissoluble from architecture itself, with heritage buildings that come to us untouchable from other times and other sensibilities?
This book, attempts to approach accessibility to heritage architecture from a scientific point of view . We Will establish guidelines, a system, to intervene in any Historic Monument, Historic Site, Historic Garden, Historic Place or Archaeological Area.
The book arises from a research work initiated under the perspective of the Faro Convention, which recognizes the right of all people to establish a link with Cultural Heritage by adopting measures to improve its universal access.
