Arquitectura Viva 283: Smiljan Radić

Smiljan Radić obsessively gathers what he sees, reads, and finds, to then assemble various elements in surprising constructions with sophisticated technical detailing. Overflowing with references and stories, Radić’s unique universe has been expanding for three decades, culminating in the architect being awarded the 2026 Pritzker Prize. This issue features twelve of his most important works, along with an article by Chilean architect Fernando Pérez Oyarzun. In addition, the issue’s dossier examines several industrial spaces reactivated through minimal strategies and reuse, exemplified by the Palais des Expositions in Charleroi, winner of the 2026 Mies van der Rohe Award.
